Toomas Kuusings is a painter and performer. Since 2001 he join to the Academy of Non Grata.
His paintings are recollections of performances. Instances, drawing fundamental elements of the transient. The paintings are the most part and related to depict the collective performance work by artist group Non Grata, the imagination of the painter forming a kind of post-production on the video documentation work.
Primarly the performance artist, Toomas Kuusing uses painting to depict images that couldn`t possibly be made- physically- during live performance. His work focuses on deconstructing the performance process, allowing him to tame the body`s limitations of movement and control. Frozen moments in time, they are nonetheless the development and celebration of these live, evolutive actions.

Toomas Kuusing est un peintre et performeur. Depuis 2001, il rejoint à l'Académie des Non Grata.
Ses peintures sont des souvenirs de spectacles. Des instantanés dont le dessin est l'éphémère des éléments fondamentaux.
La plupart sont liées à la performance collective par groupe d'artistes estoniens, l'imagination du peintre formant une sorte de post-production sur le travail de documentation vidéo.
Toomas Kuusing utilise la peinture pour représenter des images qui ne peuvent éventuellement être faite sur les plans physiques, pendant l'exécution en direct.
Ses travaux portent sur la déconstruction du processus de performance, ce qui lui permet d'apprivoiser les limites du corps en mouvement et de contrôle
