Peppe Rosvik (Finland)
After living his childhood in Stockholm suburbs Peter Rosvik arrived to the Swedish-Finnish countryside Ostrobothnia in 1982 with his family. He initially studied to a chef before enrolling at art school in Nykarleby, Finland. Since 1994 his work has been exhibited in Finland, Scandinavia and Europe.
Rosvik has worked in a variety of media, including fine art, video, sound, and installations. Since 2008 he has focused on performance art exploring what he calls "the often untrue distinctions between the artificial and the natural, the accepted and the thoughts beyond". Concepts that underpin cultural construction, such as belonging, marginalization, dialogue and other forms of socio-cultural phenomena appear to fascinate him.
Rosvik enjoys the fictions and mutability of the ideas of performed identities. The contrasts and relationships that exist between the natural and constructed worlds suggest to him the potential of combining aesthetic experience and arts based knowledge with on site performances where he himself and the audience cannot control the art experiences generated.

Peppe Rosvik (Finlande)
Après avoir vécu son enfance dans la banlieue de Stockholm, Peter Rosvik arrive avec sa famille en 1982 dans la campagne suédoise-finlandaise d'Ostrobotnie. Chef-Cuisinier avant de s'inscrire à l'école d'art de Nykarleby, Finlande. Depuis 1994, exposé en Finlande, en Scandinavie et en Europe.
Rosvik travaille une multitude de médias, y compris les beaux-arts, la vidéo, le son et les installations. Depuis 2008, il a mis l'accent sur l'art performance explorant ce qu'il appelle « les distinctions souvent fausses entre l'artificiel et le naturel, l'acquis et la pensée de l'au-delà ». Concepts qui sous-tendent une construction culturelle, telles que l'appartenance, la marginalisation, le dialogue ainsi que d'autres formes de phénomènes socio-culturels qui semblent le fasciner.
Rosvik savoure la fiction et la mutabilité du jeu de l'identité. Les contrastes et les relations existants entre les mondes dits naturels et construits l'amène à combiner des expériences d'ordre esthétique avec des connaissances générales de l'Art, à travers des performances in-situ et sans que le public ou lui-même ne puissent contrôler l'expérience engagée - générée…
